Welcome to the Jupiter Academy Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO)! Parents and guardians of children who attend Jupiter Academy, teachers and students are automatically members of the PTSO. The purpose of the PTSO is to provide an opportunity to build a strong, supportive internal community through the involvement of parents, teachers, students and the administrators of Jupiter Academy in an effort to enrich the experience and education of each student at JA.

Your involvement in the PTSO through volunteering, participation in school events and activities and general support of PTSO functions helps to raise funds for supplemental educational programs and materials that would not be available without the efforts of the PTSO.

We invite all parents/guardians, teachers and students to become actively involved at Jupiter Academy through the PTSO and we welcome you and your children to our school!

Jupiter Academy relies on the support and involvement of our entire community – including, parents, alumni, faculty and staff, grandparents, and past parents. Several annual fundraising efforts and special events provide a variety of options to become involved. Our community’s contributions form a partnership with JA that enables us to offer extraordinary and successful educational opportunities for our students.


Financial Support

We hope, as virtually every independent school does, that members of the Jupiter Academy community will contribute to our annual fundraising drive to the extent that they are financially able. Participation is what’s most important. This annual drive is known as the Annual Fund. For 2013-14 we plan to introduce new and exciting fundraising initiatives to involve the entire JA community.

Active Participation

Jupiter Academy families are vital partners and wonderful resources for our school. Parents may volunteer in the classroom, library, and cafeteria. Their involvement in school enhances the value of education in the eyes of a child. It also enriches the academic and social environment for our students. Parents are encouraged to become involved in campus life. The Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) welcomes families to help through a series of school sponsored fundraisers and special events. Jupiter Academy encourages families to work in partnership with the school as advocates for academic achievement. Jupiter Academy creates an environment where students have the opportunity to acquire academic skills and habits that nourish lifelong learning, good citizenship, and personal fulfillment.
